This Privacy Policy explains how Jupiter Technologies LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Aura Wellness App (“App”). Aura provides AI-powered hair and scalp analysis, personalized haircare routines, wellness insights, product recommendations, and optional health habit tracking.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We comply with all applicable privacy laws and Apple Developer Guidelines, including requirements for apps that use camera access, image analysis, wellness features, and Apple HealthKit.
We do not use HealthKit data for marketing, advertising, or data mining.

2. Information We Collect

A. Personal Information

We may collect basic information you provide, such as:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Account credentials

  • Contact or support messages

This information is used to create and manage your account, personalize your experience, or respond to inquiries.

B. Hair & Scalp Analysis Images (Optional)

To generate your hair or scalp analysis, the App may request access to your camera or photos.

If you choose to use these features:

  • Images are used only to analyze non-identifying attributes (e.g., hair strands, breakage, dryness appearance, scalp redness, density appearance).

  • We do not collect, store, or process biometric identifiers or any form of identity-based data.

  • Images are processed locally or temporarily on secure servers solely to generate your analysis and recommendations.

  • Images are never used to identify you or verify identity.

  • Images are never used for model training, advertising, tracking, or analytics.

You may choose whether to save results to your account. Saved results can be deleted at any time.

These practices comply with Apple’s rules prohibiting identity-based usage of image data.

C. Haircare and Wellness Inputs (Optional)

You may optionally provide information such as:

  • Hair concerns

  • Current routines and product lists

  • Lifestyle factors (e.g., stress, sleep patterns, hydration habits)

  • Goals and preferences

Providing this information is optional and used solely to personalize your recommendations.

D. Health Data via Apple HealthKit (Optional)

If you choose to enable HealthKit integration, the App may access specific data types, such as:

  • Sleep analysis

  • Hydration tracking

  • Activity and steps

  • Menstrual cycle data

  • Mindfulness minutes

HealthKit data is:

  • Used only to generate wellness insights, habit tracking, and recommendations.

  • Stored in your device’s secure storage or on our servers only if needed for your chosen features.

  • Never used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or sold to third parties.

  • Never shared externally except when required for App functionality (e.g., syncing to your device).

You may disable HealthKit access at any time in Apple’s Health settings.

E. Usage Data

We may collect non-identifiable usage data, such as:

  • Device type

  • App interactions

  • Feature usage statistics

This does not include hair images, HealthKit data, or biometric data.
We use this information to improve performance and understand which features are most useful.

F. Optional Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Camera: for hair or scalp scanning

  • Photos: to upload images or save results

  • HealthKit: to enable wellness tracking features

All permissions are optional and used only for their stated purpose.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain App functionality

  • Generate hair and wellness insights

  • Personalize your routines, match scores, and recommendations

  • Provide HealthKit-powered habit tracking (if enabled)

  • Improve App performance

  • Communicate with you regarding your account or customer support

  • Send optional marketing communications (with opt-out)

We do NOT:

  • Use hair or scalp images for advertising or model training

  • Use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing

  • Use images for identification or authentication

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information, images, or health data.

We only share limited information with:

A. Service Providers

Trusted vendors may access necessary, non-identifiable data to:

  • Host the App

  • Process analysis requests

  • Provide customer support

All providers follow strict confidentiality and data protection rules.

B. Legal Requirements

We may disclose information only when required to comply with applicable laws or valid legal requests.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Hair and scalp images used for analysis are kept only temporarily unless you choose to save them.

  • Saved scans, analysis results, and wellness logs remain until you delete them.

  • You may delete individual scans, health connections, or your entire account at any time.

  • Deleting your account permanently removes all personal data stored by us.

  • You may also request deletion by emailing hello@jupiterwellness.co.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted communications (HTTPS)

  • Encrypted data storage

  • Secure cloud infrastructure

  • Access controls and audit logs

No system is completely free of security risks, but we work to minimize them.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

If such data is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Updates become effective once posted in the App or on our website.
Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated terms.
